Computex 2015 - Roccat
Roccat is another company taking advantage of Corsair's expired exclusivity arrangment on Cherry MX RGB switches – the Ryos MK FX will launch for $189 as the company's new flagship keyboard, probably before the year's end using Cherry MX RGB Brown switches throughout. It has the same design as the current flagship, the Ryos MK Pro, including a built-in wrist rest, three thumb accessible macro keys and the EasyShift+ button, which gives every key a secondary, programmable function. The FX part of the name refers to the support for Alien FX, a technology built in collaboration with Alienware which will use the keyboard lighting to represent on-screen action. Roccat is claiming support for the Alien FX in 35 games including League of Legends and Dying Light.

The RGB lighting in the Ryos MK FX will be controlled using the new Roccat Swarm driver, which finally sees the company unify its driver/software packages into a single package. It has the ability to store settings on the cloud but you don't need to have an internet connection or make a profile to use any of the custom functions, and can still store settings onboard your devices.

We were also shown the Nyth mouse, which we originally saw as a prototype back at Gamescom in August last year. It targets MMO players and the like who require masses of macros at their command, and as such features 12 mechanical switches along the left hand side for thumb access. The Nyth is supplied with a full set of interchangeable buttons for these switches, and with blanking plates included too you can use as many as you like, and block the ones you don't need – Roccat will even be making available the designs of the buttons for 3D printers in its Roccat 3D library, so you can tailore make your own (or pay someone else to print them for you). On the opposite side you can install one of two different side sections that are tailored to either palm or claw grips. The smooth surfaced mouse also boasts a massive 12,000 DPI, which Roccat claims is enough even for users of three 4K monitors.

Lastly, we saw the Aluma in-ear headset, which is equipped with a flat, tangle-proof cable. It's supplied with a travel case, a splitter for users of separate headset and mic jacks and an aeroplane adaptor. It's expected to be released in September or October this year for 49 Euros.
